Here is what some users are saying about ways they
use Clip-It!
Joe: Omaha, NE
I am a web programmer and moderate a couple of online
groups. I use Clip-It! to save useful programming tips
people post that I want to keep for later use. A lot
of times, people will post code for applications they
have created. I clip those so I can use them if I am
ever working on similar projects.
Lynn: Kennewick, WA
A while back, our daughter was in the paper. Of course
we bought several copies, but we also saved the article
from the newspaper's website. The online article turned
out to be much more useful than the paper copy because
we were able to use Clip-It! to easily email the articles
to extended relatives.
Sarah: Albany, NY
As a college entrance consultant, I save articles about
popular colleges and universities whenever I find them.
When preparing to meet with clients, I pull up all the
articles I have clipped about the schools my clients
are interested in. It's a lot easier than keeping files
of photocopied papers. I often use the search feature
to narrow the scope of my searches like "Stanford
AND scholarship opportunities."
Angela: Salt Lake City, UT
I am a Sunday school teacher for teenagers at my church.
As I surf the news online during the week, I clip articles
about current events that I can use to make my lessons
more relevant and interesting to the kids. Clip-It!
makes it easy to collect material to use in my class.
Jason: Dallas, TX
I am writing a book on freedom in America and am constantly
saving articles I find that relate to the subject. Clip-It!
makes it easy to dump whatever I find that I think I
might use later. It takes about two seconds for Clip-It!
to save an article so I clip a lot of things I wouldn't
have if I had to print and file it somewhere.
Jeff: Eagle, ID
Last year my favorite college football team nearly went
undefeated. Near the end of the season they got a lot
of coverage from newspapers and magazines across the
country. I clipped a bunch of articles and used Clip-It!
as an online scrapbook.
Mihn: Nashville, TN
I have saved several hundred recipes off the Internet.
I use Clip-It! file system as an on-line recipe box.
I use the text search to browse through my archives.
For example, I can type in "bread" and Clip-It!
will display all the bread recipes I have saved.
Karen: Boston, MA
As a business professor and consultant, I do a lot of
traveling. I can access my Clip-It! account on my home
computer, my computer at school or my laptop. As long
as I have Internet access, (which is most of the time)
I can access my archive of articles. I don't carry as
much paper around with me any more, because I know if
I need something I have clipped, I can just get it from
my archive, no matter what computer I'm on.
